I’m planning an international trip with a connecting flight through Turkey and I’m trying to understand the transit requirements before booking everything. My layover will be at a Turkish airport, and I’m not currently planning to leave the airport while waiting for the connecting flight. I’ve seen different information about whether passengers need any additional travel authorisation depending on their nationality and final destination. I’d especially like to hear from travellers who have had a similar connection recently. Did you need to arrange anything before flying, and were there any issues during the transfer? I’d also appreciate advice on what documents or flight details are worth keeping ready for the journey.
